Well I ordered a Parabellum extra tall today. I've been commuting on the bike regularly for a couple weeks now and the buffeting is killing me. I will report back after I have it installed and a few rides under my belt.

I got the tall (24") screen and love it. I'm 5' 10" and found that I was looking through the screen when it was mounted in the upper holes. It was perfect with me looking over the top when mounted in the lower holes. Problem with the lower position was the lower corners of the shield hit the blinkers. I made corner cutouts on the band saw and it's good now. Just did 1500+ miles this weekend in total comfort.

I was told yesterday by parabellum that they had the issues worked out with the screen hitting parts of the bike. I guess we will see when I get it. I'm hoping they have it all sorted. If not, It will definitely go back to them to either be cut down or just returned......

I have the medium installed on my bike and in the high position when I turn the handle bars it's lightly touches the mirrors but only when I crank it all the way one side to the other very happy with it so far

Here's the best I have not being near a computer. Here's a photo with the shield in the low position and you can see the corners hitting the tops of the turn signals. The fix was simple and quick, cuting out a curved section on both sides to give clearance.

Guess I meant to say it hits the handguards a little at full turn

How long have you had yours? I was told by Parabellum that this was taken care of. If I get it and they are still hitting the hang guards I might be disappointed.

I'm loving my Parabellum.

I have the 24"

It's coupled with the Wasp adjuster - heaven....
What did adding the Wasp adjuster give you? I saw them online but am not sure what it would do for me.

I've had the parabellum installed for a few weeks now. I have to say it did clean up most of the air around my helmet. Previously there was a horrible wind noise that I had to wear ear plugs to deal with. Now that is gone. I still get enough air to get some in my helmet and enough around to get a bit of air on me. They claimed a MPG improvement over the stock but i don't see how putting that large of a screen on any bike would increase the MPG. It has probably gone down 1-2MPG. Parabellum also told me that they had fixed the issue with the hand guards/mirrors hitting the screen. Well, that is still happening. I'm sure I I called them I could get it trimmed a bit but I'm not super worried about it.

I had the Givi 447 and it was OK with some spacers to tilt it out a bit. I'm 6'4" so I ordered a Parabellum extra tall a month ago. I have put 1500 miles on it since and it's nice but a smidge too tall in the upper holes. I was going to send it back and have them trim an inch but may try the lower holes and if I like that I'll trim arounf the turn signals like mentioned above. Just a little warning, the extra tall flops around quite a bit and I worry about breaking the bike mounts. I did a bunch of off road this past weekend and it has held up so far. Hoping the lower mounting holes does the trick ::024::

I agree that the extra tall in the upper position does move around a good bit. I had the same thought about the mounts breaking. This weekend I may try to move it into the lower position but am afraid that this will bring back some of the buffeting that was fixed in the high position. I still get a decent amount of wind in the high position.

Has anyone heard of the the windscreen mounts on the bike breaking in the past? Wondering if it's hard to do or not. I ran over 200 miles offroad last weekend and it was doing the floppy crappie pretty good. I thought about trying to design a brace to resolve the issue but Yamaha most likely designed it to flex for a reason soooo. :-\

Any updates on the Extra Tall Parabellum? I am considering getting one of these. At 6'5 there is some pretty good buffeting going on that I would like to get figured out. Also are people using these on the MadStad or the Wasp windshield adjuster? Which one of these would you recommend. Also if anyone can post up some pics of the Extra Tall Parabellum that would be appreciated...

IMO the Parabellum paired with a Madstad or any adjustable mount would be a bad combo. The extra tall will give you plenty of coverage mounted direct to the bike. You will have too much floppiness with a Madstad. I love my extra tall especially since I installed the seat concepts which raised the seat a half an inch or so. Perfect match for me. At first I thought it would be too tall but it's actually just right. It's been on there for 9 thousand miles now including some very aggressive off road riding and so far so good ::008::

You can mount it in the lower position but the lower, outside corners will rub on the turn signals. I'm 5' 10" and found the tall screen in the top position was too tall. I was looking through it too much. So I cut rounded sections out of the corners and mounted it in the lower position. Now it's perfect. See the photo earlier in this thread. I'm very happy with this screen. It's creates a quiet, undisturbed pocket of air for me (along with the Yamaha side wind deflectors) and the flow of wind goes right over the top of my helmet. I can ride with my visor open at any speed.

Mine in the high position hit the hand guards at full lock. In the low position it hits the turn signals.... Pick your poison. I am in the low position right now. It is doing a good job and I don't get any buffeting. If anything I'll try to trim a little bit at the turn signals so they don't rub.
