pannier modification?

Hey fellas, picked up the EOM panniers with the bike and I was wondering if any of yal have done moods to these cases like tie downs on the top so bags could be tied on top length wise or mounts for sig bottles of fuel on back or other moods to these EOM panniers? If you have pics please post and how you did the mod and your oppinon of the finished product. Thanks Brad

Lately, I've been thinking of modding the lid to shitcan the hinge. When I'm loaded up with camping gear, it's a pita to get in the side bags and lifting the lid off would be nice. The lid also makes a nice tool and bolt/nut tray when you're working on the bike on the side of the road. Anybody done something like that?
