I picked up a 2021 Africa Twin today. Looks like someone's equipment exceeded their ability. A little banged up but a whole list of goodies on her. 1240 miles. Gotta due some cosmetic repairs then she is up for sale. A hoot to ride though. I may have to drag my feet a little getting it ready.AT1.jpgAt2.jpgAT3.jpgat4.jpg

The list of farkles on this is crazy.
SW Motech crash bars
Alt Rider Skid plate
Akrapovic exhaust
Ram Mirrors
Alt Rider rad guards
Alt Rider headlight guards
ETC...

Everything but a semi skilled rider. This kid had more money than brains.

They are really nice bike. Just spent 3 days riding the MABDR with a friend on his AT. It's a terrible all-rounder, do everything bike.

Not sure what a terrible all-rounder, do everything bike means?
I'm assuming that since the AT is more dirt orientated, it's not as happy on pavement, at highway speed(s), being loaded like a mule as the do everything Tenere is.

Yeah, and that's about right. The AT is really fun to ride and fits me like a glove, but it's a dirt oriented bike more than a touring bike with dirt capablities which is why I passed on it and bought the S10. Don't get me wrong, I love the AT and would buy one in a heart beat but only if I can keep my S10 for touring and impromptu fire trails. If I could own both, the AT would be my go-to exploring/back country camping bike of choice and the S10 would be my everyday everything else bike.

It means auto correct will change the word terrific to terrible and I won't even notice.

I hate typing on a phone!!!

I really like the AT a lot. Riding one just before pulling the trigger on the SAS gave me real hesitation. It was so much better than I expected. Congrats on the bike. It's a winner.

The AT is beautiful, quick and has some really great features. My serious off road days are behind me so this would really remain largely under utilized. I bought it as an investment and it will be for sale as soon as the replacement plastics are here. I love my S10 and have no plans to replace it anytime soon. I will be 60 in August and comfort is king. The AT has the most gizmo filled dash I have ever seen.

Back together and on the road again. This is an amazing motorcycle. Super smooth 6 speed transmission, she rides like half her weight. If I was a younger man I would not hesitate to keep this terrific bike. I will continue to rider her until she sells.

Never actually rode a AFrica Twin but if they would’ve had cruise control and tubeless tires back in 2018 when I bought my second Tenere I most likely would have bought the Honda, but I’ve been a big Honda fan for years.

I am a Honda fan myself. It has CC but still has tube tires. It is a blast to ride though. If I did not already have my S10 set up exactly the way I like it this would be a tough choice. I am not gonna ride it much as I might get bitten by the bug.

I believe the new AFrica Twins come with from the factory Tubeless tires, very nice 90 degree valve stems and tire pressure monitors ? The front tire is also taller, I’ve always thought the Tenere would handle soft or rough conditions better with a taller front tire.
My opinion the low gears are to tall on the Tenere I wonder if the Honda gears are any better ?

The tranny is much tighter and one of the nicest ones I have ever used. Now that I looked at this closer, it has tubeless tires on it. 18R 21F
