Rode the S10 last weekend and didn't seem to fit. My knees were smashed up against the shrouds. What accommodations have the taller folks made for all day comfort? I assume lower pegs, taller windshield and risers. Particularly interested in the leg room. Moore knee room and and good tall windscreen would do it prob.

Did you have the seat in the low or high setting? If it was on the high and you still need more leg room, get a Seat Concepts seat. It'll add 1" to the height and make you feel all warm and fuzzy ;)

Do your knees push up against the shrouds? I sit forward and it was uncomfortable. I know it can be fixed with money.

I'm 6'2" and also have an FJR. I'm always blown away with how much room I have on the ST10.

I did put a medium height V-Stream shield on it because the stock shield just wasn't cutting it. That made a BIG difference.

I do have 2" risers because it makes standing up a little more accessible otherwise you're bent over too much when you stand. Also, they're cool and I like them.

I have 2" risers. No reason really. Except to drive Ron nuts. :)

To the OP, you musta had the seat in low position. Or you were sittin on the tank?

Re: Over 6'-2" and on the Tenere.

Hello all. May as well introduce myself here. I'm a 6'7" inch newbie and fit well on the Super T. I like a little bend in my knees as it helps get my size 15's under the shift lever. I did add a Wunderlich shift lever and it helps a little when fully extended. However the roller is way too large in diameter for my tastes.
Can't stand the lack of wind protection but I'm working on that.

I too am 6'7 and fit very well on my S10. I was not too sure at first about the short OEM windscreen but after putting on the tall version and an adjustable clip on windscreen visor I have reduced the wind turbulence considerably. I also have a Bead Rider on my stock seat which gives me a little more room. I have never had an issue with my knees touching anything as I too like to sit back with the rear passenger seat as a guide.

6'2"+ and sit well forward with no leg issues although I'm probably more torso than leg. Seat in high position with Rox 1" up/back Pro-Offset Block Risers along with flatter Pro-Taper ATV HI bars to give my aging elbows and wrists the more relaxed bend that they need.

I'll give it another ride and make sure the seat is in the high position. I told the sales guy to put it in the high. He took it off and fuddled with it and maybe put it in low or did nothing.

I'm 6' 5" and have no issues with leg room. I did a 500 mile ride over the weekend to break the bike in and test out gear. I have the seat in the "high" position. I installed the taller Yamaha OEM windscreen. It seems to reduce buffeting the top of my helmet was experiencing. I removed the pillion and have a Rotopax gas can installed there. I miss the front of the pillion hitting the back of my butt. It was a nice little wedge and helped me find the right seating position.

6'4" with a 35" inseam and the Tenere is easily the roomiest bike I have ever owned of about 50. Did 4 800 mile days and it was cake. Only mods were Madstad bracket and V-Stream medium shield.

6'2 / 34" inseem - no problems.

I have the seat in the high position, it feels a bit like I am sat "in" the bike rather than "on" the bike in the low position.

Screen is rubbish for high speed cruising so I have a Givi Airflow as I can lift it up for long stretches on main roads, and push it down for some fresh air when on the back lanes.

Pegs are fairly easy to scrape on stock suspension settings so lower pegs may not be a great idea if you like cranking it over on good tarmac.

I am 6'3" 300+ pounds and I love this bike could use a bit more stretch in the knees but I have no issues, new shock in the works and fork springs.

Yep, another one. 6'4" here. There are a lot of reasons why I bought this bike but near the top of the list is that it fit me better than anything else I have tried. I don't feel cramped like I do on almost all other bikes to one degree or another. About all I have done to it to make it fit even better was to add ROX risers that lifted the bars up and back. Despite Ron not understanding it, ::) the risers made a huge difference in comfort to me. I have put higher bars on almost every bike I have owned just because I sit higher than "normal" folks. Seems kind of obvious to me but as always, YMMV.

I'm 6'2", and I had the same thing happen when I first sat on an S10 at my dealer. Knees hit the plastic. But the seat was in the low position, and it was better after moving it to the high. Bought an S10 despite this, and after installing a Seat Concepts kit, it's not an issue anymore.

6'3" 200lbs. Only time knees are touching the plastic are hard road riding with a pillion. Seat concepts seat ::026::

Couldn't be more comfortable on the bike. My guess is you've not done the seat flattening mod and you're racking yourself on the tank a little close?
