2013 Tenere, rode probably 50% on road, 50% off road. Spent too much on farkles protecting the bike, and until tonight not a scratch. I came home tonight to find a piece of cheap Home Depot molding that fell from a shelf in the garage and hit the tank. Anyone have a new matte tank for sale? Argh!!!!

Ooh, expansion/contraction, cool. I've heard of air pressure too. Has the potential to pop a seam tho.

Hard to believe that such a small dent cannot be repaired. I'm no expert on repairing gas tanks, but there has to be a way out of this, other than changing the tank.

I would leave it and make up some sort of fabulous off-road story up by Placerville or something.

For now, find a fatter tank bag so I quit starring at it when I ride. Coat with dirt.... That is a great recommendation!

They can't get the probe around past the fill neck to do a normal paintless repair. BTDT. The fuel pump opening gives a whole new view on the subject.
