I ride mine everyday.... although won’t be riding it so much for the next month! Crazy times! Rangiora, North Canterbury.
Had my eye a Gen 1 in Rangoon , Rob Lewis motorcompany had it on TM...i spoke with him on Sat and he told me a guy was waiting on finance approval today (Monday 23) if he didnt get it - it was mine if i wanted, i see the listing was pulled so i guess i missed out..
Gives me more time to save for a used Gen 2 ;)

Mines a 2010 and just about to tick over 90,000ks. I’ve put 30,000 on it in 18 months so it’s getting some use. I have only seen one other on the road at the Ashley gorge and one getting serviced at Bob Mcleary Yamaha so pretty rare compared to a KTM 1290
I like it and it still made 90Hp at the wheel on the Dyno a couple of weeks back. Enough power for me.
You might see some deals if people start hurting with this pandemic. Toys are the first to go. Good luck.

Still riding mine, very rarely I might add.
If that bike didn't sell, you'll have to get in there bloody quick to get it home. Worth a call to make sure it all went ahead.
You've got to feel for the bike shops, times are going to be tough for most everyone but I feel many may fold.
I'm the first (nearly) to vocalize my disdain at bike shop charges, but they can't help it a lot of the time, and most will look after you quite well, often claiming they feel guilty at the rrp.
Anyway, great bike, damn reliable, keep on looking and hopefully one will fall into your lap.All the best.
