My order went in about a month ago. I think i changed my mind on what type of bike several hundred times. Currently I have 53000 km on my KLR. I thought of a KTM 950 to F800 to Yamaha and full circle again. But I wanted something that stays out of the shop. I owned a IT 125 as a teenager, than a 650 nighthawk, it ran for six years and i only put tires and 5.00 dollars in parts. I sold it for a profit. Than i bought the KLR. i have replaced one shock seal and sprockets and chains. After 53000 km not bad. Our summers are short in Saskatchewan so a bike in the shop is bad!
Last summer while riding I was making a list of features on a motorbike I would want. The Yamaha fit the list almost perfectly.

One strange habit me and my buddy have...we have put 12 plus hours on our motorbikes most days on our yearly trips. ( Two years ago three days of 14 hrs) I guess we love to ride.

I remember as a kid in the car or on the bus just seeing myself in the ditch on a motorcyle just given it. I really dont understand why people ride the big street bikes.

Anyhow I wait....tick tock..oh and this 1200 Tenere will be super fast, its blue and black..

Welcome on, 2wh. Another Canuck. Glad to have you. Hope you're having a good winter there in Saskabush. Any idea when that boy is gonna show up? There are two here in Whitehorse, but you don't want to ride one home this time of year. Good luck with it. Let us know when he arrives. ::004:: R. ::022::

i just did the same thing myself ::008:: I ride a VSTAR 1300T on the blacktop and a WR250R on the gravel and in the woods. I am going to sell both of them and just ride the Super Tenere for everything. Welcome aboard ::004:: This is a great place to get information. ::022::

From a completely neutral, unbiased, free, white and 21 yr old + owner of a Yamaha Super Tenere owner, this bike rocks.

Welcome to the club!
