Hi. I just purchased a super tenere last march. During the weekend I changed the oil. I filled the oil to in-between the max & lower level on the glass. I took the bike for a spin & when I checked the oil level today it's gone above the max mark on the glass. Would appreciate any advice on this as I've never seen this to happen me before. Thanks

Welcome to the forum. There are many, many posts on here about the oil level, search function is your friend .
In summary, put in 1 gallon or 3.6 litres of oil and stop fussing over the level, it will change depending on temperature, running time, how level the bike is, etc.
Ride more, worry less.

Read your owners manual on the steps if you have it...
I just changed the oil +filter on my '12... 3.6L put the oil level right in the middle of my sight window, bike on center stand AND confirmed level.

I drain the oil and remove the filter. Install a new filter and add 3.6 qts of your favorite oil. It works every time. I’ve owned five Super Tenere motorcycles in eleven years…….never a problem with this simple procedure.

Or just pour the entire four quarts in. If it's like mine the light won't go off until you do. . . . and mine's perfect.

gv550 - Thanks for saying this already.

Derek - Welcome to the group.
Sine the bike has been around since 2010, just about every possible technical issue and potential accessory has been seen and discussed, so search is indeed your friend.

That said, no harm no foul and glad to have you ask anyway.

It'd be nice to post your location or even just country in your avatar.
