Off idle throttle response

Hi guys, I am a new ST owner. I picked up a 2013 model and have about 3,500 miles on it. I have performed the idle screw adjustment, balanced the Throttle bodies (3/4 turn out), adjusted most of the play out of the throttle cables and set the CO at 6. The bike is much better now thanks to all the contributors on this forum. The bike is otherwise stock. Although the bike idles and responds much better now, it still is a little hesitant at small throttle openings making technical off road riding rather interesting. I have played with the CO and idle mix screws, but it doesn't make much difference. My question is this, Does a bike with Arrow headers, aftermarket muffler and a ECU reflash still have this problem at small throttle openings? What about the updated clutch modification? Where have you guys sent your ECU for the reflash? I live in Wisconsin and the closest dealer for ECU Unleashed is like 800 miles away. Thanks

Ecu-u flash will not fix the off idle surge the arrows will cause. I know as I had this setup.

I eventually found a UK tuner who overwrote the Ecu-u flash with a custom map produced on a dyno and all is now perfect.

I think you may need flash plus power commander to get it spot on.

Usually the CO adjustment and throttle body sync will address the stumble. If not, the ECU flash certainly would be the next step.
A lot of owners here have had their ECU re-flashed by member AVC8130, whose name is Tony. You 2-day express it to him Monday morning and probably will have it back for the next week end.

this bike is driving me nuts now with the stumble. Whats the CO adjustment?
I saw your posts in the other threads as well, and with the title of this one, I think what you're feeling is the restriction in gears 1-3. You'll need to flash the ECU to eliminate it.

yup. It's steady speed 60mph and under. Trying to get ahold of a place near Lancaster PA to do the ecunleashed flash. I'm not sure what other ecu flashes there are. But between 70-100 she runs great. Thanks for the reply.

Check with AVC8130 (Anthony) here on the board. He also does flashes.

Thanks for the info. But I have an apt for flash next week. I also have arrow headers coming tomorrow from Jaxon at Ride on adv. total pleasure do deal with. Very knowledgeable and personable. If I lived in TX I'd be taking the bike to him.
