Anyone know where the connector for OEM light kit is located? Supposedly right side, just below fuse blocks, 3 wire plug. I'm looking for a convenient SWITCHED 12vdc supply to energize a relay coil and would prefer to use this as a supply rather than a lighting circuit. Thanks.

Your in the right neighborhood. Root around under the right side cover where the battery is found. I believe the attachment your looking for will be just aft of the Battery. Good luck.

Can I tap that brown wire for power of my aux lights? Have a relay and switch.
It's a fused 20A circuit - go for it. With your mulitmeter, are you sure it's not switched power already?

Well I'm an electical newbie so I'm not sure. I thought that the wire being "switched" meant it is that its hot only when the key is on.

I have a handle bar switch to turn the lights on and off and I just need a wire such as that to tap. Would prefer to tap a wire not currently being used in case I screw something up. So am I confused on this?

IIRC, the brown wire is not a 20a circuit, but the red one is. The brown wire is for triggering a relay in the factory fog light kit, while the red wire will supply the power and the black wire is your ground. I used this to trigger the relay for my fuse block. So, in wiring the your lights, you can have them switch on and off with the key by wiring the brown wire to terminal 85, with your lights being connected to 87 and the red wire to 30. Connect the black wire to 86, and ground your lights as well (this can be done back to the relay, or at a convenient ground near the light). To add the handlebar switch, run a wire from terminal 86 to the switch, then ground the other side of the switch.

If you want to be able to turn the lights on without the ignition on, it can be done as well using the same aux light connector, you just wouldn't use the brown wire. Connect the red wire to both terminals 30 and 85 on the relay, then wire the rest up as above, using the handlebar switch connected to terminal 86.

Holy smolly... speakin a bit of greek to me there... I'm an idiot on electrical... ???

With all that said... I believe u r saying I can indeed tap the brown wire if I want power only when the key is on. I have a set of mondomoto lights that
Are pretty much plug and play with built in relay and connectors direct to the battery. I just need to connect my handlebar switch to a wire
For power... like a lowbeam headlight etc...

I believe the brown wire in that plugged group of wires will work for me. ?. Correct? Or do I need the red? I dont want the handlebar switch to work
without the key though... and im not trying to have lights on all the time. I plan to turn on and off soley with my handlebar switch.. just dont want
Somebody to turn on my aux lights while its parked or me leave them on accidentally.

Thanks for the feedback....

Red/White - unswitched 12v (20 amp fuse), Brown - switched 12v from ECU, Black - Ground from the accessory light bundle and give 'er hell. Follow AVGeeks instructions..

Brown to terminal 85
Black to terminal 86
Red to terminal 30
Positive from your lights to 87 and any common ground for other light's wire

This is exactly the way I wired a relay for grips and heated jacket pigtail.

For the OP, visit your local NAPA store and ask for a 30 amp 4 pin relay and tell them what you're doing. For wiring, check out this one of many sites...http://www.banzai-racing.com/efan_relay_install_how-to.htm

Scroll towards the bottom for standard relay wiring.
