Doesn't seem to light up down the road any further with the HF lights on but they sure fill in the foreground nicely.

That tree on the left looks dimmer in the second picture. I suspect you used a phone or automatic camera that automatically "stopped down" (F stop) because the foreground was lit so much brighter.
That said, looks good!

Agreed, I noticed the same thing and initially thought the photos were reversed, but then figured that's what must be going on. There may be a similar effect on one's vision with all the reflected foreground light. Might want to leave the HF lights off if the priority is seeing as far down the road as possible.

Yes, I used my cell phone. The lights are a lot brighter with the hf lights on. The pics don’t do it justice

Thanks. Two things... have you tried taking off the side panel on the right side where the battery is? It looks like the lights might interfere??
And the brackets you got on Amazon attach to your crash bars... are the bars Givi and what diameter did you order?
Thanks.

Yes the panel comes off with no problems. Not sure the brand of crash bars because they were on the bike when I bought it but the brackets have different rubber spacers in the kit to fit different diameter bars

I ordered these https://www.amazon.com/Piaa-30740-360-Mounting-Bracket/dp/B0096U121Q for my Givi Bars. They fit 3/4", 1" , and 1 1/4" bars. I went with these based on being a reputable company. They are ok but they swivel for adjustment and one (1) side tightened up and won't move but the other one would not tighten up as tight. I didn't get a whole lot of movement but it was more than I wanted so I set it where I wanted it and added a very small amount of JB Weld to it. Problem solved. If I had to do it again I would get brackets that are stationary.
