Very good offer.

Some might ask about the Extended Warranty. Is it less than one year old?

Moose Racing tailbag. Costs about $100. My favorite bag ever. Fit all my day stuff in it and it will expand and hold a jacket liner. I wasn't planning on selling it with the bike but forgot to take it off for the pictures. If it makes the deal I will include it.

Listen to your wife! I have found it always works out when you do.

Blue was not a color option for the '14ES. You can always swap the body parts if you're that partial to blue. The matt grey grew on me. I wasn't that excited about it at first but now I really like it.

Re: For Sale; '14ES in WI

I thought I had a deal on a 2013 last Sunday, but was beat by one minute on eBay. I had been talking with the seller by email and phone for a few days. He had it listed locally in my original home town and on eBay. We were talking on the phone when someone purchased it on eBay by clicking buy it now. He had a lein on it and that concerned me enough to be a little cautious. I was a little too cautious and missed it. Are there any shipping companies near your location who could pick it up and ship to Louisiana? I would like to visit with you about the bike if possible.

If Donk picks me up in MN and you give me a ride to the airport in Louisiana (and buy me a few beers) I'll deliver it for you for free. I like riding and I have a ton of frequent flyer miles.

I would prefer to pick you up in WI. MN is about 12 hours away!

So here's what happened. Was going to sell the Super Tenere or trade it in on the new BMW R1200RS. I like sport touring bikes and it is a pretty one. I had some reservations about the boxer and BMW in general. Also was slightly hesitant about the idea of parting with my S10. I don't keep bikes very long but the S10 has always been a keeper in my mind. Guy called me up about the S10, told me how he wished he never sold his, was unhappy with his new GS and all the problems with it and was thinking about buying another Super Tenere. Called me a few days later, told me again of the problems with the GS specifically how it shifts like a farm tractor and offered me full asking price for my bike. I had to admit I agreed with him about the poor shifting on the boxer and by then he had convinced me parting with the S10 is a bad idea. In the meantime the dealer had never sent me the promised quote on the RS and come to find out the rebate he promised wasn't available. So I am keeping the S10. If funds permit I may buy a FJR and keep both for a while to see which I like better then make up my mind. I apologize if I caused anyone any inconvenience.

I enjoyed reading your message, and it is really quite timely with BMW having a few very attractive bikes on the market

I know I've certainly thought about selling my Super Tenere in favor of a BMW. I've owned three BMWs in the past; I've encountered final drive problems, brake problems, electrical problems, and overall, expensive service inspections.

I'm coming up on two years of Super Tenere ownership, and really haven't had any issues at all, and haven't had any service bills whatsoever because this bike is so incredibly low maintenance. So while I'm tempted from time to time, I read posts like yours, and even what I wrote above, and I can't help but to ask myself, why I'd want to go back to that??

I'll admit, I find the fit and finish to be nicer on the BMW. The R1200 motor also is better performing. But none of that matters when the bike is in the shop, or is costing so much to keep running that I can't afford to ride the thing!!

While the BMW products may tempt me from time to time, the logical choice really is what I already have ... the Super Tenere. Why mess with what, literally, isn't broken?

However all the above being said, to each their own. Pursue happiness and enjoyment. Life is short.
