Hi Trainman we've met before the first day I had my bike with Zed remember. I'm not on the GS forum but it'd be good if you could post on there? How about Sat 27 June at Diss I've already got a route in mind. It'll be an all dayer about 200 miles Norfolk and Suffolk.

Ok post on GS Forum please and we'll go for the weekend after, the 4th July, we'll see how much interest there is and go from there.

I meant to also say the starting point will be the Park Hotel Diss. Breakfast and leave at 8ish.

I'm from Clacton, Essex and always game for a run but leave at 8AM from Diss? I'm not sure I want to get up early enough to get to Diss before 8am, even 7am if you include breakfast. How far are you planning to go if you need to start at 8am?

200ish but that's flexible, don't really want to be any later than 9. Cup of tea and a lunch stop thrown in too, if you got any ideas throw them at me and see what we can work out. I know the route works cos I've done it a couple of times, one of them with 33 bikes.

I would have liked to attend this ride out but we are traveling the day before to the French Alps, I missed Ploughjockys last organised ride out with the Tiger 800 group in May, that was on the day we returned from our last holiday, just my luck?.
Ploughjockey recently hosted the Tiger 800 national weekend biased in Diss at the Park hotel, with members turning up from Holland,Cornwall and Scotland it was very well attended. He and his buddy Charlie planned a route out on the Saturday to the Suffolk coast then up through to north Norfolk, they put in a great deal of effort planning the route and stops to give the visitors a good ride round some great local roads, I missed this ride out as we flew home from Italy on the Saturday.
I have a hunch he will include some or all of the same route.
Hopefully I can persuade Ploughjocky to do another a bit later in the year after his busy period.

Sorry for the delay, have been watching the weather as the missus has noticed we have the local fete this weekend, if it had been raining I would have been ok but as the suns out for a while I had better keep them sweet

Ok thanks I'm not on that forum so don't know about him/them! If there's only one possible I've decided to cancel as it's not worth having a day off work . Will have to see and try again after September and I know Zed is a definate for then .

its a real struggle to get a group together for a ride out, so much family stuff committed to during the summer months, I have the same problem with a group of lads I have known since our teens, all appear keen when I suggest a ride out then as the day approaches various things crop up and 1 by 1 they drop out, i did recently get them to last years Copdock bike meet and the previous years Wimbotsham meet, going to try again this year for either Wimbotsham or the classic racing at snetterton.
I will be up for a ride round your route after harvest but we are abroad weekend of the 26th sept. let me know your best dates and we will work from there, see if we can get Trainman and a few others to come along for some or all of the route. ::008::

Northumbria is my home county Richard I was born up there usually visit every year or so, lots of family around Haltwhistle and Hexham, ::022:: are you on business or for pleasure, in the car or on the bike, some great biking roads up there.Ploughjockey said:
