My wife & I got the bug for a motorcycle ride befroe the snow sets in. We are new to the SW Washington area so we hopped a few miles south to Oregon and explored the Blue Mtns. The fall leaves were beautiful & the curvy roads were a blast. We did a little gravel too as I got slightly disorientated a few times. This bike does it all.

As I rode along visiting with my wife via our bluetooth helmets I decided the S-10 is like a swiss-army knife. No blades or tools are perfect the exact task at hand but there is enough versitilty & options to get it the task done. We both miss the smooth air & over-the-top power of the Concours 14 we traded in on the S-10 but the S-10 gets the job done.

Nice ride & even though I don't like my picture taken my wife forced me to let her take this one.

Good show Saddletramp! It was a beautiful day in Oregon today, at least here in Bend. Glad you could get out there. Unfortunately my S10 is still in Portland so I had to ride the pedal bike. Cheers!

Sounds like it was a great ride, Saddletramp. In my neck of the woods, it was cold and very rainy today. Hoping it will be better tomorrow, so I can get out on the Super Ten for a while, anyway.

Ride it while you can Saddletramp...pretty soon riding days will be few and far between. The wet side's been bleak for a couple weeks now, already broke out the winter / heated gear.

I forgot to add an interesting part of the trip.

The picture was taken near a chocolate shop in Milton-Freewater, OR. The owner of the shop was a guy in his early thirties. He asked what kind of bike we were riding. I told him to take a guess. He replied "by your clothes I would guess BMW". My wife & I chuckled & proceeded to take him out to see the S-10. His response "I was right". Then he got" the why I ride a Yamaha speech".

I really liked my 2002 BMW R1150GS but it wasn't near the bike the S-10 is.

As we rode away my wife's comment was priceless..."At least we weren't dressed like pirates!".
