So I've been bitten by this adventure bug and before I hang up the keys kinda want to try these bikes....in particular the S10. Now I've always been a one bike guy so before a Tenere is adopted the current great touring bike has to be sold. This ST1300 is a 07 which I've owned since Fathers day '14. Fairly low mileage with 30k miles and some add ons I think make it more pleasurable. List includes: Hella's on mirror mounts, 20W LED fog/DRL on forks, Vstream, Helibar 3rd gen riser, grip buddies, speedohealer, Fuzebloc under seat, nice rear rack with helmet guardian and Hyperlites, frame protectors, Buck hiway pegs, tip over bars and powerlet outlets for heated gear. Russell seat not in pics goes with it. This seat is built for 220-280 # in a charcoal color. Most enjoyable is the MC Cruise....the one from Australia and bike specific. This is a ABS bike and I looked long to find a clean one like this. Only things I've had to do is change oil and flush brakes. Tires are PR4 with front good at 7500 and rear is NEW. Pricing 2 ways: as seen with Staintune exhaust for 6500.00 or I keep Staintunes and install OEM exhaust for 6200.00. Will also give 100.00 credit if someone doesn't want the rear rack. I am looking to sell only and then will start the search for a Tenere etc. Listing bike here so u's guys can tell ur friend that might be looking for a solid touring bike. Located in Central Texas. Thanks for looking!!

I came to the Super Tenere from an ST1300 (2004 version). It was a great bike and took me many, many miles in very swift comfort. Alas, I grew 'numb' to it. Great bike but not a lot of emotion. So made the switch to the 'other' ST and have loved the past 2 years!

The ST1300 was a spectacular machine. For what it was designed to do, it was very successful, still is. But my XTZ does so much more, and hopefully is as reliable as both the ST1100 and the 1300. Good luck moving to the Super Tenere.

Most of the Honda brand motorcycles are boring to ride. Highly engineered sewing machines masquerading as motorcycles.
They don't masquerade. They ARE motorcycles. Just usually incredibly smooth and lacking in whatever foibles qualify as character. But they are usually incredibly capable bikes.

Didn't mean to hurt your feelings but based on my personal experience it felt like riding a sewing machine, an electric motor of some kind, whether I was on my Goldwing or on my Blackbird. Extremely reliable but it didn't move my soul at all. Boring motorcycles they were. There's no secret I haven't own one in a long time.

For what it was meant to do, cover long distances in comfort at a relative high speed, it was hard to beat. And the V-Four engine has some impressive oomph when you twist the throttle like you mean it! It was also fun to farkle, just like the Super Tenere. I kept mine for 10 years. Loved every mile of it. Just was to a point where I wanted something different. And not in the same category.

I know the ST1300 being offered by "Flying Passem"....have ridden with him....have ridden that bike.
If one is looking for a [Sport Touring] bike....it is true and correct....and I can vouch for its maintenance record.
And....the ST1300 won the last IBR...so it has plenty of legend behind it...[not trying to start a pissin' match] with that statement....!!!
F P's ST1300....if one is hunting for such....look at it closely.

Between my previous ST1100 and my current ST1300, I've got about 300,000 Honda ST miles under my belt. A smile for every mile, they are fabulous machines.

The 1800 is a nice bike don't get me wrong.
If your a retired Air Force Officer or have money to keep one great.
Damn thing has morphed into a beast of a plastic coated Lazy boy, I had an 81 1100 and I loved the thing easy to do maintenance.
And could go on forestry roads with ease.
