Bought my 2011 Tenere around a month ago, in that time I've been commuting with it daily, been on a longer trip, very happy with it.
Bought the bike with 6000km (3700miles) on the clock. First time owning a bike with hard cases and a tank bag(OEM) - don't think I'll be able to go back to a kit bag strapped to the back seat.. Also came with rumbux crash bars and bash plate, gps and a few other small bells & whistles.
Previous noteworthy bikes owned were: KLR's, Tiger xcx, Cagiva raptor. Currently my old man is running a 2016 Africa twin, so I'm relatively familiar with it (great machine).
Living in South Africa one is spoilt for choice when looking to go on a trip. Maybe the Scots or Aussies can try and compete, but I will eat my hat if there is another place with the diversity of scenery that SA offers (and crammed into a very manageable little size).
Going forward I would like to share some of my adventures on the Tenere with the forum, and maybe get a tip here and there. (Starting with how I would go about obtaining the little plastic thingamajig found above the rear light on the worldcrosser edition? I love the lean looking rear, and would like to strip my bike of the passenger grips, carrier plate etc)
Also, I can assure you all I'm not a robot, and that grass is green ::015::
