Hi,

I'm currently riding a SOB (some other brand) and I guess I'm looking for a little more comfort, a little more performance and a little more available power for accessories.... maybe not having to lube the chain would be nice too. I've pretty much ruled out the R1200GS and am still considering the CRF1000L.

So for now, I'm just here to lurk, get informed and see what people think.

My previous rides:
2015 VStrom 650 XT Adv (current)
KLX 250S
Shadow 1100 Sabre
SV650
GPZ305

PS: I make a lot of spelling mistakes. I'll often modify a post 2-3 times before I get it ride!

::004:: You're welcome to lurk, but you will find that we are quite biased to what we think is the best bike. ::022::

Welcome aboard. For a smaller bike with a chain, the AT is a nice bike. It's just knowing the flavor and mission you want.

I changed my bike this spring, old bike was a Transalp from 2006.
The choice ended up was between the new Africa Twin and the Yamaha Super Tenere.
I went with the Super Tenere, and that mostly because of the shaft drive (and it is more modern). And I am very pleased with the S10, no oil everywhere from chain :) And it is a very very nice bike, and I have no regreats.

The Africa Twin is 40 kg lighter though......but the wight doesn't seeems to be a problem for the S10.
