I had a 2012 800 and the big problem for me was the seat and the way it went up onto the tank. I tend to sit forward on the seat and never felt comfortable. I have a seat concepts on the S10 and its wider at the tank end and i find it great for me. Am only about 95kg in riding gear though.

I hope the sea

They wont get that much more torque out of it if its revving higher. I would be amazed if the torque is that much better than the 765 bike its based on. Glad they have made that bike though they should have done it years ago. This idea thay had with the crank changes was bad.
The video says it has 84nm of torque, however my point was more around how the power and torque will be complemented by having substantially less weight to drag around.

Going of topic as usual but it would be great to see them put cast wheels and a decent tank on the 1200 Scrambler.

There is no 1050 Tiger. It's relegated to the history books same as the S10, has been since 2010 or 12 in the US. I'm talking about the new Tiger 800 Sport which is a completely different bike than the Tiger 800 Adventure that ran from about 2013? to 2019? then morphed into the Tiger 900. The new Tiger 800 Sport in addition to having 17" wheels front and rear has an entirely new engine, new frame, new fairing bla...bla...bla. It is a new bike. I think Triumph may be trying to match Ducati with confusing number/ names for bikes.

I had an '08 Tiger 1050 and it was probably one of the best bikes I've owned. Put over 30,000 miles on it in 18 months. Only fault the bike had was the windshield had some of the worst buffeting of any bike ever, or certainly of any bike I've ever rode. Madstad was a good fix but a guy in the UK, Palmer Windshields made one that was much better AND didn't look like a piece of clear plywood mounted to the front of the bike. With the Palmer the bike was super! I only sold it to buy the '11 Triumph Sprint GT, another awesome bike.
