Im picking up a 2016 Super Tenere tomorrow and thought it would be good to learn some things from people who have experience with these bikes. Ive done a lot! of research and have settled on this bike. I just got rid of a 2006 Goldwing and also have a Yamaha Raider which I love for cruising. I really didn't see the need for the Goldwing any longer and was wanting to go in a different direction like an adventure/touring bike. I hope this one does it for me. It is in showroom condition with a bunch of options with 26,000 miles. It hasn't had a valve check so I will be posting when Im ready to take that on. I typically do all my own maintenance. Anyway just figured I would introduce myself. Here is a pic of the bike. I got it for 7,300 which I believe is a good deal
Does anyone know the best place to get a good shop manual for this bike.

Welcome aboard. Sounds like a good deal and there are threads here which should guide your valve check.

Thanks for the welcomes
I got the new bike home yesterday
Very happy with it although fluids needed changed
Flushed out brake system, clutch, shaft oil, engine oil and got rid of some old wiring from previous gps system that was a birds nest

Planing on coolant change as well
I still have 500 miles until valve check so I will wait on that for now
I took it up my road and was impressed with the grunt power this thing has

I just watched your valve video and noticed you had Clearwater lights on your new bike. Could you take a picture of the lights and how they are mounted?

These were on the bike when I got it. They look like they are mounted to their own bracket which then mounts with the smaller bolts on top right under the regular headlights. Bt the way I took an early morning ride the other day when it was still dark and turned these on, on a back road here in Kentucky. The whole road and surrounding woods lit up. These are extremely bright. They also come with a dimmer switch.

Any other pics of that supremely impressive bike trailer?

Here you go. I really like this trailer. It pulls like it's not even there with my Subaru outback. I was able to make really good time home with the bike when I picked it up. In other words it handles great at higher speeds as well:) I actually might consider selling it one day, especially if I don't use it this coming year. 2024!

Boy… does that trailer look trick! All your gear can go inside without it getting stolen as well.
I have to wonder about the length of the drawbar and if the spare hits the ground going over speed humps or the like.

I have my own bike trailer but it looks nowhere near as schmick as yours

No the height is fine
The road from my house is pretty rough and it does fine. I have it hooked to my quad in the picture so it’s lower than when hooked to my vehicle

Those are some wicked awesome lights. I think they go for near $1k nowadays.
