Morning all, got a 2012 the other day. @ 6'5", 36in inseam, I'll be doing the seat also. It feels way better than the 89 Transalp I had prior. Only thing I don't like about he bike is the black color, working on that tho! Already have a carpuride to add. Can't wait to do my first multi day ride. Thank you ir all your knowledge and experience posted here.

Congratulations on the 2012 Tenere purchase ! I definitely agree with the dislIke of the blacked out look and believe the Super Tenere would have been a lot easier to sell if they would have been available with brighter color options.

Welcome to the forum. 1st Gen Super Tens like to have the CCT replaced before or at the 2nd valve adjustment, (52k miles). If it’s been done, there will be a blue or green dot on the outside of the housing. Visible by shining a flashlight behind the fairing or minor panel removal.

It’s an Aussie thing… a woman in Germany that I would have married had she let me was and still is known as Shorty at 6’1” and I’ve heard of a mate of a mate in Melbourne years ago was called that and he was 7’
