Just wanted to say HI to all of you and say I'm a proud owner of a new Super Tenere . I've been a Harley owner for many years. I've racked many trouble free miles on many Harley's over the year BUT I've had my eye on the Tenere since it came here to the states. I sold my Harley this spring and purchased a new Tenere yesterday. Yes, most if not all of my Harley riding buddies have been busting my a$$ about going from Milwaukee's Finest to a Yamaha. That is until some of them have seen the bike up close and they've quickly changed there tune. This bike just looks impressive sitting in the garage. I am looking forward to racking on some miles on this bike when this steady spring rain here in Wisconsin subsides. I've got the bike pretty well set up "for now" and all I need to do is figure out good placement to have my pigtail for my batter tender then she's set for a while.

Look forward to using and contributing to this forum!

Ride safe...

Hi PWFD. Welcome to the clan. I'm not sure that we've had many converts from the 'other' side. ;) I'm impressed that you're impressed. You'll not regret the Tenere but the culture shock will take some adjustment. Good on yer though and we look forward to your input.

Yes, the culture shock will be the BIG part that will take some time to get used too. Living here in Milwaukee I was going to a Harley event of some sort about once a week during the summer months. I have enjoyed the Harley lifestyle for many many years. BUT something about this bike and it's ride just clicked. I tossed the idea of the BMW GS a couple years back but I just wasn't ready. Everything just worked out for the Tenere.

Good looking Super Ten and welcome to the forum. Glad to know you're here in the Milwaukee area also. Enjoy discovering how great the Yamaha is on every kind of road.
