The top picture looks like the swingarm was extended. That tail piece looks crazy long. And the bottom pic definitely looks like a Tracer competitor.

Yeah, that tail/plate section is ridiculous, surely that can’t be the final version. It ruins an otherwise good looking bike.

I was a bit hasty in posting the pics as was on my way out.

That's what makes me think the swingarm has been extended. The tank and both seats seem to have the proper relationship, but the rear tire is w-a-a-ay back there. Kinda makes sense considering how many Suzukis are running around with aftermarket extended swingarms.

Nope, that's just how she looks: https://bikes.suzuki.co.uk/bikes/sport/gsx-8r/

I would NOT want to ride as a pillion on that machine!

It must just be an optical illusion exacerbated by the angle the photo was taken at because the "stretched" looking one is actually shorter that the "normal" looking one. Go figure.....

GSX-8R (with the "stretch looking" swing arm and scary pillion seat):
Wheelbase1,465mm (57.7in)

GSX-S1000GX (the "other bike")
Wheelbase1,470mm (57.9in)

That bottom pic is a nice looking bike. Been a long time since I thought that about a new Suzuki.

The GX looks like something I could/would add to the stable. Wonder if Suzuki will see fit to bring it stateside...
