I just struck a deal on a new 2014. Didn't get the ES but have ordered the heated grips. I can't wait to pick it up tomorrow. I'm used to high seat husqvarnas but this is by far the biggest bike I've owned. I ride a kawi zx6r now so this will be a big change for me. Hoping to take some trips on it 2 up with my wife once I get comfortable with it. I was really glad to see there was a nice community around this bike. That always makes ownership easier and more fun.

New to the forum. Traded my 2001 Goldwing last week for a Matte Black 2014 Super Tenere non ES. Wanted something smaller but not too small. L like 1000 mile weekenders. Only have 450 miles logged so far, but the bike feels great. I have the Givi Trekker Monokey (black) panniers and top case coming this week, along with crash bars and skid plate. After having the Wing, the 10 looked like it needed protection. Hope to learn to use the skid plate more than crash bars. We will see...

Welcome aboard. The bike is indeed great for 2-up. As for community, there are quite a few owners in your northern Illinois area.
