Evening all,

Been lurking on this forum for a while but not joined or posted. Do 10k a year on my bike for work and had a raft of sports bikes and last bike a Niken GT. Now I know it’s mother couldn’t love it but a cracking winter commuter hack she was until it was nicked 5 weeks ago. I did want a shaft next as I get jacked off cleaning chains in salty winter weather.

So I went looking before the lockdown. Rode a VFR1200X and BMWGSA 1250. Just wasn’t sure. Then my dealer offers me a 2020 Raid for £13k with top box and tracker. Popped a deposit but haven’t ridden one.

Arrives May 1st....

Can and crash bars the first plan.

Welcome to the Forum. It will be interesting to hear how the Tenere compares to your other bikes.

Welcome from Texas. I don't think that you'll be disappointed. I'd love to test drive a Niken.

Thanks all. Sounds like the Arrow headers cause some big discussions. Marmite almost. I like the thought of the de cat as they strangle an engine.

Welcome familymad.
Ive done 170,000 collectively on Tenere 1200's now...but only rdcently had a reflashed ECU experience! My advice would be get it done. Amazing difference...probably depends who does it though. Sorry your Niken got Nicked

Thanks. It was a shock when it went. Left it for 30mins outside a friends house alarmed, tracker and steering lock on. Nice area too.

So where are most people getting them done in the UK and suppose it’s post the ECU service?

Welcome to the group and sounds like a good deal on a great bike, especially for commuting and work.
