Re: New Owner... Soon, hopefuly.

Welcome from the Sunny Norf ::004::

I'm from the North so can't recommend a southern dealer. Wigan Yamaha like to advertise they have the best prices, give them a ring. Keith Dixons at Accrington are also worth a call, you get a good PX offer, if you have one, and they deliver for the cost of the van's diesel.
To get the best deal you should be looking at a pre registered bike and not be too bothered about the colour. You may find something between £10,000 -£10,500. If you like the new model colours you may have to pay just over £11,000. Check Autotrader and ebay and ring around, you might get lucky. Good luck with the search

Hi, im in sunny whitstable. Got mine from the bike shop faversham, great dealer been using them for many years but you wont get any leeway on price from em. They do discount on servicing accessories etc once you've bought a bike from them and you generally dont have to ask they do it automatically once they know you. Alford bros in folkestone also have a good rep, my friends bought from them for years with no problems.

No deals on the bike itself, not when i got mine at the end of last month anyway, the only deals you might get are on accessories or clothing, got mine at Lagunas maidstone with some discount on few bits and clothing

Thank you all for your welcome and suggestions.

I've noticed a lot of s10's with sub 5K miles going at a good price, but I am looking for a non-farkled one as I have spent so long researching the bike I have my wallet set on some specific parts. I thought the hard part was over once I had decided which bike.

I have passed the one in Heathfield before so may pop in for a chat.

Thanks again.

Answered your other post:

Try Slocombes Yamaha as they were brilliant with me, and a old fashioned family run business.

Sub 2k miles <6 months old I would aim for £10,000 as a realistic target.

I paid £9.5k for mine last year (6 months old / 150 miles at the time) but the going rate was £10k plus, I wanted a new one in white but best I found was £11.5k, could have got other colours for about £11k but reckoned not worth £1500 - £2,000 just for the latest plate and preferred colour, that £2k has got me a full suspension re-work, Gen2 Flash, Engine Bars, Bash Plate and taller screen.

Sure it was not a pre-reg or ex-dem with zero miles  Still a bargain even if it is ::008::

It is a pre-reg and it is online at £9,999. may be lower in the showroom? That is about what I paid for mine new last year, not pre-reg, so price seems about right.

I saw the one at Motts online, Autotrader I think. After googling them I was a little concerned as I couldn't find a good review for them and it had been there for quite a while. I decided I was going to see what I could find elsewhere before I went to visit them for myself.

It is a bloody good price though and I'm not too fussy on colour.

Just been back to check it out.

Yeah, it's a pre-reg 13plate, zero miles. £9,699 otr.

Would have had myself if I'd seen it a few months ago. Aldershot have an ex-demo 11 plate with a few thou on it for the same money, which I 'tried' to buy of them last summer when it was about £10,000. I offered them £9,500 if they fitted heated grips, wern't intrested.

Glad I waited, got a six month old world crosser, 12plated 3,500 miles, with yam heated grips and headlight protector, from a KTM dealer, had them change oil and filter and fit new tyres. £9,450..
