Yeah the documented reliability, and the larger service/parts network, were the reasons i swayed this way all the big adventure bikes are good in their own right. While there on the road at least : i read a statistic somewhere about the GS saying 70% of GS owners have no major issues, as if that is a good thing, i read it as 1/4 GS's (about) spend 3-6 months in the shop a year...

This is true, up 3% from last year (2012). Now top dog in bits falling off.
