Hi all,

Just picked up my new (to me) 1991 XTZ750 in the most 80s colour scheme imaginable this weekend just gone.

Previous owner put mega long gearing on which didn’t feel quite right. I’ve put it back to standard and the thing really rips!!

Needs some better brakes, as I share the common sentiment that the factory ones are shocking, even for an old bike.

I’m planning on taking it on a trip around Scotland on the Nc500 route this July. Should be mega

Welcome, from Texas. At least it's a Yamaha and it is a Tenere. I mean, since we have more than a few non-Yamahas around here. ;)

Welcome, nice looking bike - I fancy one of those myself.
You might find this a useful thread over on advrider
