Hello from Montana. My name is Larry Manchester and I live in the Bitterroot Valley, 45 minutes south of Missoula Montana. I am a retired Telephone engineer and have been riding motorcycles for over 60 years. I currently have two bikes, a 2002 BMW R1150Rt and a 2007 BMW F650GS. I am going to look at a 2015 Yamaha Super Tenere tomorrow and hope to add that to my stable. Looking forward to meeting more Tenere riders on the forum!

I rode an '04 1150RT-P for 60k miles. It was a great bike . . . . until the warranty was up, and then it wasn't so great. I think you'll find the Tenere easily the equal to the Beemer. Most likely the RT will be for sale shortly after you fall in love with the Tenere.
