Today I picked up a used 2012 Super Ten with 13.5k miles on it. After looking it all over I'm wondering if the previous owner just let it idle on the centerstand for the past year. Because I can't find a single indication this bike has been outside never mind been on the road for 13,000 miles. Rick if you are reading this message. NICE JOB!

I've been riding for about five years now and have logged around 60k miles tooling around the southeastern US. Most of the mileage was racked up on a 2008 Wee Strom which I love and have spent years setting up but decided to follow DirtDad to the darkside. ::022::

Now about the heat roiling off the left side of this monster...

Welcome, Dave. I am sure you will enjoy the ST. Had the 1KDL myself and overall I enjoy the ST more.

Say, how is that Forest Road 13? Always meant to take that over to County Rd 67, a road I use to visit my daughter.

Honestly I've spent very little time on the forest roads due to the fact they are sugary sand which my Wee hates. I'm not expecting the S10 will handle them any better.

Now when I'm in the Smoky Mountains (NC/TN) I spend hours exploring the trails.

Glad to see you over here and on a Tenere, Dave. Congrats on the purchase. This bike does not disappoint.

Good luck with the dismantling and sale of the Wee.

Hope to ride with you again someday in the near future.

Thank you very much. It was your feedback on Stromtrooper that led me to this choice. No pressure. :D

I'm planning a trip up north two to three weeks before Memorial Day. Any plans of riding during that time? I figure I have four to five months to get the S10 setup for distance touring (well setup where I'm happy and comfortable).

I feel no pressure. After all, buying a second one after my wife stole the first one was an easy decision.

I have just the place for you to ride in May. http://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?topic=6193.0

Welcome to the group, Dave. I am over here in Panama City. We will have to get together for a ride after Christmas (when life returns to normal). We like to make the trip over on Highway 20 to Hosford and then down through the forest to Carabelle. Just starting to explore the dirt capabilities but taking it slowly....at least until I ditch the BS Battlewings!

That's only about 40 minutes away. Shoot me a PM if you want to ride. Not sure about soft sand and this bike.

Interestingly, I bought the S10 in Lynn Haven and used to live in Callaway.

I didn't realize I posted the photos in ever increasing numbers. :). Took me a bit to figure out what you meant.

Well the garage is full so that means only one thing. Time to build another garage. ::013::

a simple hello, F16Viper68.....
Hello from sunny Florida. I'm assuming you're riding season is nearing a close? I spent a few weeks in the 90's at Cold Lake AB. Perfectly named base. :-[

Even being from New England I found it a tad cold.
