Hi everyone!

Just joined the forum. Have been riding a Vstrom 1000 2014. It's a nice bike but I have found it pretty uncomfortable on longer rides. I'm 6'3" with a 36" inseam so I really need a bike with plenty of legroom. After extensive test rides on a Super Tenere, I'm gonna pick up a 2015 in Race Blu from my local dealer tomorrow. I'm really excited and guess my wife won't have to see me much during the coming weekend. :D

My dealer is very generous about test riding. He has really pushed me to take long rides on the bike before making my decision. Guess he knows what he is doing. Didn't like the bike first, but after four test rides we started to bond with each other. :)

The forum has been of great value when I evaluated the bike. Thank you all for the information you share on this site! Hopefully I can contribute as I learn about my new ride.

Welcome to the forum.

Like you I was not very excited when I first rode my ST, but after a few hours I really got in to it and now it just gets better and better.

It's a funny ride. I was not excited during a demo ride but I was smiling the whole time. I'm smiling even more now.

Many thanks for the welcome!

Rode my new bike for about 200 miles this weekend. I'm very satisfied so far! The only issue is a soar butt which came as no surprise after my test rides. I'll wait and see if it gets better after more time on the bike. Otherwise seat alternatives will be considered.
