New member and 1000 miles owner

Wanted to introduce myself. Rutgerus Jongbloets = RUT for short and cadu70 stands for a cajun dutchman! Originally dutch, lived in Louisiana for 20 years and I eat anything that does not eat me first. That should qualify me.
I am a new owner of a Tenere for the past 4 weeks. Logged a 1000 miles on it and love it! Had Triumphs, watercooled Harleys, and decided it was time to answer to a lifelong desire to do some serious adventure touring.
Thought for sure that I was going with the Triumph Explorer. But, after a few test rides, I decided on the Tenere. No regrets!
Planning 3 day adventure ride in Arkansas next week. Trying it out.
Browsed the forum a bit. Tons of information and interesting characters. Look forward to sharing some info and ideas. Look forward to reading the posts.

Thanks for info and replies. I know what you mean with time. I have very little of it. But just HAD TO take a day off to get this ride in!

Wow, that is a cool link. I think Pig Trail may be a bit too much for me as a newbie! But, definitely one for the future!

Welcome. The Pig Trail is a great ride. Just take it at your own pace. You might even find out how good the ABS is.
