Hello, my name is Jim. I just recently purchased a 2013 Super T, and am just getting used to it (and how to even pronounce it). I had taken Demo rides before and loved it. When this became available, I sold my Kawasaki C-14 to get it. I miss the C-14, but this bike is really fun. I am in the "I just need this one more thing" stage, and that is fun too. Trying to solve the wind blast problem. Bought a MRA with the spoiler. It helps, but still noisy. Still looking. Also need side bags.

My other bikes are a YZF-R1 and a Harley Road King. My wife rides a BMW F800GT and a Harley Street Bob.

Not sure how much off road riding we'll do. There are no trails or even dirt roads in Southern Maryland - you have to go to West Virginia or somewhere. Still, it's a fun bike to ride.

Welcome to the forum. I hear ya with the wind blast issue. I've sufficiently solved my wind issues with a couple mods.

Good idea with the MRA lip, I have a MRA X-Creen. However, would not work with the stock wind shield only. I actually went out and got a MadStad Windshield setup, specifically the MadStad SportSD, with I believe about a 20'' shield -- up to your personal adjustment to determine the dimensions. This system is great because it allows air to go UNDER the windshield, unlike the stock shield. This setup creates a nice pocket of air in front of you with almost zero wind noise, buzz -- even if you have a modular helmet that is up.

However I was also getting some wind turbulence up on my lower chest/stomach area, and to address that I went with the Super Tenere Side Wind Deflectors. These worked great.

So take a look at MadStad, you'll be greatly impressed with their system. I actually had this same system setup on a KLR. Getting the Tenere, especially at high speeds, I knew I needed to go back to MadStad.

Good luck.

edit: here's a pic.

Welcome from another Marylander, we have a growing number. I'm on the south side of Damascus and commute into DC.

Welcome, I'm over on the Eastern Shore, us Marylanders should all get together sometime. There is always a RTE [ride to eat] the first Monday of the month. I usually take a trip down to the Dragon and up to Labrador every year. Be glad to have company.
