Just got a new 2013. Working on getting the engine broken in. I absolutely love this bike so far but it is my first adventure touring bike.

Hard luggage and crash bars are on their way. :)

My wife is shorter than me 5'6"ish (I'm only 5'8" myself but apparently my inseam is a lot longer than hers) and she also rides (for over 20 years) so any suggestions people want to throw my way to help me lower the bike would be appreciated.

Hey Hoosier Wolf, Racer, down here in Vincennes. Welcome, you're gonna love the S10 and what you can do with it. I ride a lot in the Hoosier National Forest, mostly below Bloomington. Lots of great roads and stuff you never thought you'd find in Indiana. Enjoy.

What barking lizard said...there are several threads in the tech section regarding lowering the bike. You could also ping Tabasco here, he runs RideONADV out of Ft Worth.

::004:: from Oklahoma. Check with Jaxon at ride on ADV. He has a lot of items for lowering. Dog bones, shorter seat and such.

Welcome to the forum Wolf. I know you'll love the Tenere.

Keep an eye out for local regional RTE meet ups.

There at least one in Terre Haute, Bloomington, Washington and me in Vincennes. I'm sure there's more around. Heading for Daytona in a few weeks. See you there. Go early and ride the Trans Florida dual sport rally. A two day coast to coast D/s Ride with an over night on the gulf coast. No cost except for room, food and gas. Look to ride around 500 miles on and off road with big and small bike options off road. Find out more under the regions Sandbox section at ADVrider.

Thank you for the welcome and info guys! I'm definitely going to do some searching of the site. I've already done some and got a few ideas. I'm not that tall myself so would help me too. :)

I'm by the pyramids so just south of Carmel btw.

Your close by, I'm just a few miles north of the pyramids off of Shelbourne. If you ever need help changing tires just holler, I've got a no-mar.

Thanks Kevin. You are really close. If you've seen a white 4 door jeep with a Hail Storm sticker rolling on Shelbourne that was me or the Mrs.
