If Yamaha offered that color and white on the showroom floor I'd be very hard pressed to have to pic which I prefer. And I LOVE my white bike!

Good Job!

Thats why we have choices, because we dont all like the same things.
Sorry that color is not for me, Its called drab for a reason.
^^this...cool idea, but not for me. I think it makes the bike look tough and definitely unique - nice job!

This color is hard to capture on camera. In the pics she comes out more of an avocado color, but in person , it's darker . I uploaded 2 more pics to try and show closer to the real thing. Thanks for all the comments , I realize this color is not for all. At first I was going to spray it matte black, then thought I will give the green a shot first. I hate green bikes, but just finished spraying my ar15 OD and it looked real good so tried it out on the bike. I have had a lot of cars honking with thumbs up and people coming up to me asking what bike it is.

See if you can take a picture with no flash. Will require the camera to be held very still. But maybe it will be more true to the hue.

Looks absolutely awesome - I have been pondering dark green even if it seems unpopular. What's your expert level when it comes to paint jobs? Do you have access to professional equipment and a dust-free paint booth, or did you do this in your garage?

I have been painting bikes and cars for about 35 years as a hobby for myself and friends. I spray in my garage which is well ventilated with squirrel fans and pretty much dust free when I spray. With a matte, there is no room for error. It can't be sanded or touched up. The whole job has to be done again, so I do take extreme precaution.

OP that green is a very similar green that the military PLA use in mainland China. Actually Jialing http://jialing.com.cn/newjl/cm_web/cntop3-1-1.php?productid=160 manufacture a JH600 (600cc) http://www.motoronline.cn/bbs/forum-305-1.html single cylinder (trail bike), in both two wheel and three wheel side car (outfit) versions, that is available in the same matt green as supplied to the PLA. Seen one in the flesh, but not to my liking. Cost here in mainland China though is a third of what my '14 G650GS cost here, and one-eighth the price of my XT1200Z.

Bikerdoc , Yes OD( olive drab ), is a common color for most armies. That side car set up looks great.

Painted. I used a polyurethane matte olive drab. I have sprayed a lot with this paint. You can spill anything and it just wipes off. I did a harley in black that came out real nice. In person the bike looks better than the picture.
Pics looks great.
