Hi All

Boris here from the midlands in the UK.

Bit about me - biking for in excess of 30 years, done the sport bike thing to death and got a tad bored with it all and the ever increasing possibility of losing my licence or getting hurt with the growing population of cars clogging up the UK roads.

Just over ten years a go I decided to take a different biking direction and got myself an Aprilia Caponord, which I've ever had since.

During the mid eighties I got into visiting the TT races and touring Europe, the latter still being a bit part of my biking life.

These trips have taken me to Spain numerous times, Slovenia, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Luxembourg, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Andorra and countless trips to and around France and many to the Nurburgring.

After many happy years with the Caponord the time has come to change bikes, the Super Tenere being on my very short, short list.

I look forward to chatting with some of you and getting to understand the Super Tenere.

Regards
Boris

Welcome to the asylum, sir. ::004::
I believe you will find the S10 to be quite an adept sort of kit, and you'll have some smashing good times with the scoot and the places it can take you to. No regrets here. While not perfect out of the box, it is a polished diamond that requires few finishing touches to make it all yours.

Welcome, you should be spoilt for choice, either the new model with electronics, or I bet some bargains on the old ones will be around ::008::

A good choice if you like to keep a bike for a while, it was why I bought one, it was bottom of my shortlist to start with, but I already had a GS and therefore not likely to buy another one as it was self destructing by 10k, I did not really trust a Ducati to provide years of cheap high mileage motoring either, I loved the Guzzi but it seemed a gamble, the S10 was not the best at anything, but close enough in every area and likely to last many years.

A bit of suspension work and an ECU Flash later and I would say it has gone from good to excellent, bikes like the KTM1190 do grab my attention, but like you I got off sportsbikes as they did not suit the UK roads and my licence was in constant danger, the unclassified roads near me are actually very light on traffic so that is where I now spend most my time when out locally - and the bike eats up the run into Europe and gives as much power and handling as mere mortals can use once there.

Welcome on, Boris. I see you are considering a Super Tenere as your next bi-wheel acquisition. Consider no more. I'm on my second one after having wrecked the first one. Only hesitated long enough to heal up, and I bought another one. Awesome bike. You won't regret. Getter done, and ::004:: to the Forum. R. ::022::

Hi Boris. Welcome from a fellow UK rider. Like Rasher I kind of fancied the Guzzi but felt the S10 was a safer bet. No regrets getting mine.
