I currently have a KLR and a WR250R. Looking to sell the KLR and get a more adventure touring bike. Looking hard at the S10 and the Tiger 800xc. The S10 is kinda' bigger than what I had originally thought I'd like, but in reading seems it carries itself pretty well. Not going to be riding anything rougher than dirt and gravel with the new bike. I've the WR for the dirty stuff.

Need to see a S10 in person. Missed them at Yamaha of Louisville and SS Powersports hadn't even heard of them... ::)
(probably just the wrong sales guy)

Hope to learn more here.

Thanks!

Mark B.

Hi Mark,
good to see you here.
My impression after owning the Tenere for a week is, it alll good !!!!!!!!!!!!
The Yamaha Factory Demo tour will be at S&S in Brooks this Friday and Saturday, I dont know what bikes will be available for demo rides.
You're welcome to come and take a look at mine, although its a mess right now.
I'm installing all my STUFF, you know we gotta have stuff, or at least I do to make the bike long distance ready.

Thanks Bob. I'd love to see your S10 some time. Don't want a ride, but at 6' 4" with a 34" inseam would like to see how it fits. I've added risers and lowered the pegs on all my other bikes so I know you have to start bolting thing on.

I got the email from S & S and that's why I called them about the S10. I'll call back and talk to Kevin (who should know) to see if they're going to have one.

Thanks again,
Mark B.

Welcome to the Forum Mark!!! Sounds like the SuperT may be just what you are looking for. Many here wanted a bike that would carry them across country but could still take off and explore those dirt/gravel roads along the way!!

Hey Mark,

I'm also in Louisville and have my ST, in fact I believe I was the first owner in KY....got mine at Yamaha of Louisville...their only customer. There's one other owner from Louisville also.

Let me know a convenient time and place and I'll meet you someplace for you to check out the bike. I'm in the east end by 42 and Watterson...have bike, will travel.

Anthony
