Here's why you might be interested in using a 360 degree camera on your Super Tenere. This video was taken using a Insta360 One R camera that I bought. It is affixed to the LHS crash bar. It doesn't move... what you do is you press record and do your ride. Once you get home you can import the video into the software provided for these 360 degree videos and simply select the viewpoint that you want to record. You click on the video with your mouse and drag the video to the view (direction) that you want to see and create the video. Because the video is recorded in 360 degrees you can select any direction that you want.. unlike a standard adventure camera that is fixed looking in the one direction. The insta360 is a modular camera, meaning that it is made up of three modules. One is the battery, the 2nd is the monitor/brain, and the third is the camera module. Anyway, check it out. What do you reckon?
If you like the video then please click 'like' subscribe, or even comment in YT to help motivate me to make more of them.

Kind regards
Rodd

Impressive...I would probably prefer a higher mounting location (handlebars?). Also what resolution is the CCD in the camera?

Nice work, what model is it Rod? And where abouts in Qld are you? I am at Tweed Heads.

I bought a 360 camera back a little while after I almost got T-boned by a little old lady......haven't used it yet but I was going to put it on top of my helmet as a safety precaution for an accident situation (similar thinking to dashcam i suppose)

Same camera but using the 4K camera module. This converts the Insta360 into more of a standard adventure camera. This module doesn't behave like a gimbal (the 360 module does), but it uses the same type of stabilization to keep the resulting video quite steady.

The camera is modular, so it has three components to it. 1 is the battery, 2 is the views-screen/brain module, and 3 is the camera module. The twin pack comes with two camera modules, the 360 degree camera module and the 4K camera module. There's also another camera module that you can buy that has a 1" sensor for better quality photos and better low light performance.

I ordered the Insta360 selfie stick today. You get great videos when you get the camera above your head (while riding), so I will make a mount on the bike to accept the selfie stick. The 360 degree camera module is 5.7K, but keep in mind that you will only be accepting a portion so that you can produce a one-direction viewpoint. I noticed that the resulting video has a frame-rate of 60 frames per second, so that should allow it to make a great slow-mo video (and retain 30 frames per second).

I'm in Maryborough, about 280k north of Brissie! :)

(it's the Insta360 One R camera and i purchased the 'Twin Pack' which includes the 4K camera module and the 360 degree camera module).

In Australia, I bought mine from Johnny Appleseed because I found that they had the same pricing as eBay, but they're a genuine Aussie outlet and back up their products.
https://www.ja-gps.com.au/ (I have no affiliation with them, but have bought products from them over many years and find that they are a respectable business).
