New 2016 ES owner

I'm in NW VT. New owner of a 2016 ES. Did lots of research on lots of different bikes. Checked out several forums as I've found it's the best place to get real data (with some filtering of course). I thought I wanted an FJR to replace my FZ1 but it didn't strike a chord for some reason. I wanted a sport tourer that was good on dirt/gravel/fire roads. Finally got to demo an ST last year and liked it. Went thru a surgery and rehab this winter. It was a looong wait to get on a bike again. Ordered it late feb, picked it up last sat. I like this bike more and more as I ride it. A great forum made the decision easier too!

Welcome and congrats Vrode! It really is a great bike. Nearly two years into it and I'm loving it more and more. Plenty of power, VERY comfortable and room to move around, integrated heated grips, and the automotive style cruise control!!! This thing is friggin awesome! I had a VStrom for 6 years and was constantly trying to improve upon a budget minded, adequate bike...........well since I've set up the S10 with luggage and protection all I do is enjoy the ride, no thoughts about improvement. You will really enjoy the miles.
