So today I just bought a 2012 ST. Incredibly excited. Sold my 1150GS and ready for this fine machine. I will put on a skid plate, engine guards right away. Also luggage but will probably go with Jesse's unless there is something else out there I should check out. Thanks for the help and looking forward to being on this forum.

Congrats on the new (to you) scoot!

Search engine works pretty well on the forum. Lots of skid plate / crash bar options depending on your intended use. There's a specific forum section for luggage, lots of options there too!

I went with Alt Rider crash bars and skid plate on mine. Just took delivery in February. Have fun. Ride safe.

I too went with the AltRider bars and skid plate. If you want the ultimate skid plate, check out RideOnADV. I just have some inexpensive GIVI luggage, as I haven't decided on which metal panniers I like best. Jessie's is very nice, but so is Touratech. After riding at night and off road I decided to add some additional lighting, the PIAA plug and play kit is what I chose, but there a lot of options out there.

Welcome to the neighborhood!

There's many good luggage options available for the Tenere. I choice the Give Trekker Outback in black over the Jesse. The Givi is much lighter in weight, outstanding customer service, and easier to remove.... but as alway, YMMV. Many like the Jesse setup and it serves them well.

Congrats on the new ride.

Luggage???

I've had the OEM Yamaha stuff and just installed Happy-Trail panniers. Not easy off and on (bolts onto the rack) but solid and reasonably priced at less than $850 for the whole deal (adventure stickers not included)

A big howdy form a native mile higher. Congrats on your new ride. I've got Holan Nomada cases. Great fit and function. Polands best. Not many out there, but worth checking out. Altrider for the other bits and pieces. Enjoy your new ride. Payton

Congratulations on the Super Tenere! ::013:: I too had a 2002 1150GS. It was one of my favorite bikes of all time. I was determined to buy a 2012 R1200GS but decided to ride the Yamaha first. I'm glad I bought the S-10.
