Nothing special, but thought I'd share my first impression of the Soft Saddlebags by Nelson-Rigg. These were an option to choose from with the promotion for $1200. of extra Yamaha accessories with the bike purchase. I could have put it towards the Yamaha hard cases (I did get the Yamaha Top Case), but opted to hold off and save up for a better quality side case.
I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this Nelson-Rigg soft saddlebag after I received them, and combined with the Kuryakyn Full Dresser top bag that I have for the Harley, it'll definitely get the job done on a budget until I can acquire the better hard bags.

I like it!

Looks a bit more casual and certainly functional.
I could go either way myself. Congrats.

Looks Great! I would like to see a picture of the back end to see how wide those bags are. Are they supported so that they won't sag with age?

RoboCop, one of the things that was cool about the support factor is that they come with plastic insert liners that are the width of the bag, they fit very snug. Another, was that the bike was designed to take off the passenger grab handle on the left side of of the S10, then install it upside down on the right side to hold this bag away from the bike. The left side is still supported by the plastic housing to keep things away from the exhaust. There are many options with securing the bags with the included straps.
In my opinion, if one was to use these bags continually, a purchase of the GIVI quick release pannier hardware would be a good investment.
Interesting note, after I did some research on the web, these Nelson-Rigg bags are actually cheaper to buy directly through the Yamaha Accessory catalog at just shy of a $150, compared to roughly $170 at other sites...
