I have been checking, and found a missing spoke in the rear wheel. Does anyone have a few to sell? I need the female nut part.

You don't have to take them off to use lock tite on them. I did my spokes many thousand mile ago and they are still the same a when I did it.. I checked them after each long ride.motocephalic said:I used a dab of permaseal clear on them, as I am too lazy to take them off one at a time and thread lock them. I figure the silicone should prevent them from spinning off, it does not take too much for it to work.
No worries. Not selling the Stainless ones but the OEM ones I am removing. I am having my wheels re-laced with the Woody's stainless spoke set. Hoping this will end the nipple-slinging process !!motocephalic said:I will buy some from Ray, as he has some oem. I plan on keeping a closer eye on this, but this is like maintaining a chain now.
Yep, I know what you mean. lol. I have a Yamaha WR250R and because it was used, I went completely over the bike before I took it out for it's first hard dirt ride. When I left, the wheels were perfect. When I returned almost all the spokes had loosened. lol. I was riding hard in rocks and slop so I do understand.motocephalic said:thanks Jim, I was thinking that doing that way may not hold, but I may try that, after checking my permaseal job.
just pisses me off having to do it though
Are you still selling individual spokes? I had one like someone else described - it came loosed and was whipping around, hitting the hub and bent the spoke. Yamaha tells me I have to order the whole set - $110+ CAD. It's got 34,000 km on it and I don't ride it hard.Toyboy said:No worries. Not selling the Stainless ones but the OEM ones I am removing. well if it makes you feel any better, I just got back from a 3000km run around California.trilliumliz said:Thanks Greg. Will visit my dealer - if we can ever get rid of this darn snow! Will get back to you if no luck with him. Thank you.
