Cousin and I are 3 months into our 6 month ride. 16,500 miles to this point. In Alaska. His Tenere is throwing code 13 with check eng light lit.. If starting with no throttle bike will fire and die in 1 or 2 seconds. Have to start with throttle and hold RPM's over 3000 for a little bit before bike will idle. Anyway need to know what code 13 is?

I would call it the MAP sensor. I think I remember it being between the two t-bodies. Cute tiny thing. Usually won't kill a car, but it will run like crap. And if it's fairly car like, it could read BARO before engine crank.

Should be a three wire connector. One will be a reference voltage, guessing 5v, one will be ground, the other will be the variable signal to the ecu. So even if the dash says it's dead, no signal, if you've got a dvom and can get it running with the tank up, you can back probe the connector for voltages.

Thanks guys. Guess the good part is that the fail safe mode is it will run and drive. About to enter Canada so good to know it should keep running. Rode 200 miles on it yesterday and seems OK once it kicks into default mode.
