start by checking fuses, most likely they have protected you, So pull the fuses in ? and tone across the fuses.. this will verify they r not the issue...
Congrats and whew! If you first push in the center of those plastic pins in they will release without damage, most of they time they'll fall out into your hand if the bike's on the side stand. No need to pry and break them as you risk breaking your much more expensive faring pieces too. When you put them back in place the center button in a raised position, insert the pin into the hole and then press the center pin flush. Should secure with a click.TacoPapa said:I feel like one lucky SOB (stupid but lucky)!! I finally consulted the book & found that the Main fuse is under "cowling B", which is above & forward of "cowling A", the one you remove with 4 quick fastener screws. To remove cowling B, first take off cowling A, then 4 allen bolts & 2 plastic quick fasteners (probably have to replace them, because they'll be destroyed when you cut or pry them off). The 50A main fuse is behind B ... and that's what blew when I reversed the leads on the new battery. It starts! Problem solved!! Thanks, guys for all your help. ::26::
Imagine what that fuse might have cost you if you took it to the dealer... ???TacoPapa said:I feel like one lucky SOB (stupid but lucky)!!
