For those like me that are interested...

Email to National Cycle:

Hello,

Dear National Cycle

I am still waiting to hear of the availability of a sport/touring windshield for my 2014 Yamaha Super Tenere.
No wind shields are listed on your site for the 2014 model.
Please let me know when these are available.

Answer:

We currently don't have any fitments on this but if we do in the future I will contact you via email.

Thanks,

You might ask if they have a 2014 to build a windshield for.

Contacted National Cycle yesterday, still no word on them producing any new windshields for the 2014. :(

As stated here and elsewhere, Nat'l Cycle produces the OEM tall shield, so they are, in fact, already producing a shield for the 2014. Available at your friendly local Yamaha dealer.

yes, i guess that is right...I am waiting for the sport/touring shield that has such good reports for the pre 2014 models. Anyone have any experience comparing the tall OEM shield vs the National Cycles sport touring version?

I don't have any experience comparing the tall OEM vs. the NC sport touring, but a I can say that the OEM tall on my '14 is far superior to the OEM tall I had on my '12. Previous OEM tall was pretty bad, but new one is pretty danged good.

My thoughts, exactly.

I would order the Yamaha tall or Powerbronze and be done with it. No sense waiting when solutions are available now. Combine either with a Madstad bracket you will be very happy.

It looks like the Yamaha isn't an option right now either. My dealer told me (supposedly) that they are on back order. I can either wait until the end of June or pay a bunch extra to get one of the very few remaining from another dealer. I told him I'll go with another brand.
