So' I'm sitting at McCarran Airport (Las Vegas to the uninitiated), waiting to board for my flight back to Phoenix. Once I'm on the ground, it will be about 16 hours to departure time to Texas to pick up the Blue Rhino. We're doing a pseudo vacation on this run, taking the motorhome to pick her up. I expect to be in Longview Saturday morning...

I remembered the other day that this will be my second blue S10, as I had a 94 Chevy...

I didn't want to mention it before, but not only will I be setting up Blue Rhino as a long distance mount, she'll also be a test mule for me. One of my colleagues has a pipe bender, and I intend to try to make an engine guard/skid plate combo, like the one the boys down in South Africa do. I'm not making any promises about production, I'm strictly a novice amateur.

Awesome. Riding or trailering home? Either way, have a safe trip, and congrats on taking delivery!

Say Hi to Tony, Jerry, Amanda and the crew. Have a good trip. The hard part will be the return, knowing the bike is on board, thinking about your first ride ::012::

Oh Yeah, the heat in Texas. I loaded mine into the trailer and it was 109 degrees...outside the trailer. Fun stuff.

There were still two other blue ones, and a fully farkled black one when I walked in.

I've already decided I want the Waspworks adjuster (felt a bunch of heat coming up from the motor, plus found clear air on the helmet when I stood up a few inches) and over the gauges is the most logical place for the GPS (when I get a dedicated one for this bike).
