My left side funhouse mirror! warranty?

The left side mirror on my 4 month old leftover 13 ST is a miniature funhouse mirror, and has been this way since I picked the bike up. The glass is apparently slightly convex, giving a goofy, funhouse rear view. Has anyone else encountered this defect with a stock Tenere mirror? I am thinking about scooting over to the semi local Yamaha dealer and inquiring about warranty coverage. It is not terrible but it is a goofy, distorted view

Contact the dealer that sold you the Tenere. If you can get them to replace your mirrors with the 2014-15 you would be impressed in the difference vs the 2012-13 mirrors.

Also check your Tenere for signs of being dropped.

Seems like they should replace it, even without a defect the mirrors on a Tenere seem disappointing to me.

I guess I will give it a shot, I really just wondered if anyone had heard of this defect. The bike has not been dropped, it has been this way since I bought it new in october.

I think what Tomatocity meant was to check it for signs of being dropped by the dealer, before you took possession of it.

But yeah, getting a replacement mirror under warranty should be a piece of cake.

The mirror material is very thin. Very easy to warp in manufacturing.
