After three years of agonizing, I finally pulled the trigger on a brand new, 2013 Super Tenere, still in the crate! The ride home was amazing as this is my first adventure motorcycle. I'd test ridden the GS but never the S10. I had a gigantic smile on my face during my 65 mile ride home. I've got about 250 miles on the beast now and it just gets better and better. My first order of business when I got home was to remove the red, Yamaha ladder stripe from the faring. I had to build up some courage with a couple of Bud lights before I got out the hair dryer but I was shocked at how easy it was. That baby came off, glue and all. I went over the faring with some Pro Honda spray wax/cleaner after that and it was good as new! I know everybody has their own taste but I like the bike much better with the cleaner look. Can't wait to learn and share on this forum. By the way, I live about an hour west of St. Louis.

Oh....I forgot to mention, the notorious OEM saddlebag locks began to malfunction on the second day. I took a look and noticed that one of the little screws had already vibrated out in each bag and the other was barely hanging on. I picked up some security bits, reinstalled the screws with Loctite, and don't expect to have a problem again. An easy fix.
