KLR guys swear by Ricks shock. 3 weeks ago I was told it was A 4+week lead time, then Rick chimed in and said he could get it done before I left for my 2 up trip with my son. We leave on Friday! It's time to get to work I guess! I'll comment on the shock next week after the trip !

It's a beauty for sure.

And I caught a break in the rain and was able to install it and take a quick ride around the neighborhood. As set up from Cogent it feels great. I'll have to check the sag later when I have help!

I just mounted my new Cogent shock last weekend. Love it!

On my 2012, I had the Ohlins 013 shock, and this Cogent feels just as good - similarly plush, while very composed.

I talked with Rick for almost an hour before ordering it - he also sells Ohlins, and shared some of the design and build details. Long story short: if you don't need the remote pre-load adjuster, this shock is just as good, for $400 less. But, if you need remote pre-load, then Rick recommends Ohlins, as he doesn't build them in enough quantity to compete on the price.

I've never had an ohlins, but I was able to get out on some rough roads, some nice twisties, and even I-75. It was a completely different, awesome bike! Thanks again Rick!
