Went for a 150km ride after work today with the newly installed wind deflectors. ::26::
Wasn't really expecting a major improvement in buffeting, but gotta say I'm impressed. My 2014 wasn't that bad prior to the winglets, but they have changed the airflow enough to calm the air around the bottom of my helmet.
This I believe has reduced some of the buffeting or helmet shake. Still looking at acquiring a new windshield, possibly the MRA X-Creen Windshield, just waiting to hear if there is one made for the 2014.

The 2014 windshield "sucks!" After only two weeks of having the new S10 and approx. 400 miles of gravel, wash board, and rocky roads around Las Vegas the windshield has came loose every time I hit dirt. Most fellers would probably say, " tighten the thing!" I did over and over and over again... Good thing is I passed my 2012 to my son and was able to take my old Vstream 21.25 inch off the 2012 and put it on my 2014...yup it worked and was able to keep the accesory bar. Good thought Yamaha, but no bueno!!!

I also found the "wing nuts" holding the screen coming loose cause by vibration, what you can do is to remove the nuts and put a bit of silicon on the thread and thighten it again,

You can still turn the nuts by hand to set the screen but the silicon will help it to not vibrating loose on their own,

Well I'm on a two week trip on my new 2014ES and must say I love the new 14's wind screen and the wind wings. Just like my 2012 Tenere Yamaha got it right for me. I'm 5'9" tall if that makes any difference!
