I have a 2013 model and it's putting out 14.2v at idle and 3K rpm. I agree that if you're not blowing any other bulbs, the problem is either the bulbs you're using or a bad ground in the headlight circuit. I've been selling the EIKO brand of bulbs for many years. I haven't installed any in an S10, but I have put a lot of H7's in Goldwings and a ton of H4's in other bikes and the EIKO brand has worked well.
